ABOUT THE FOUNDERS...
As kids, Heather and Chrissy spent every summer together playing on the beach, going to camp and having sleepovers. For more than 30 years, Heather's uncle and Chrissy's father were very successful business partners. The young girls never expected that they would follow in the men's footsteps.

Coincidentally, both women ended up settling down to raise their families in Central Florida. This exciting new business venture has rekindled their childhood bond. As a team, they bring the same sense of fun and energy to PLAYGROUND Magazine as if they were still those same eight-year-olds practicing gymnastics on the beach.

Heather Reneau
Founder / Editorial & Creative Director
Raised on the gulf beaches of Florida and a graduate of the University of Miami, Heather Reneau has brought her vision of creating a modern parenting magazine to life. Her previous experience as the senior graphic designer at Ocean Drive Magazine, the art director for several Harcourt and Macmillan/McGraw Hill publications, and as a freelance web designer, she brings invaluable understanding of the publishing industry. However, it was her most recent personal ventures (becoming a first-time mom, community volunteer, and board member of the MOMS Club) that inspired her to create a parenting magazine like no other.

Chrissy Allen
Co-Founder / Advertising & Marketing Director
As a Florida native and UCF graduate, Chrissy Allen brings a sense of home town to PLAYGROUND Magazine. Chrissy has over 12 years experience as an event planner for large corporations such as Home Depot and Morgan Stanley. She brings impressive publishing experience as a former account executive at the Orlando Business Journal. Chrissy's local contacts have evolved the PLAYGROUND Magazine concept into a reality. As a mother of triplets, Chrissy has jumped right into parenthood and can't wait to create a resource for new and experienced parents alike in Central Florida.

Sabrina James
Editor In Chief
Sabrina's passion for fashion and design has occupied her professional career for over nine years. She developed and implemented training and marketing strategies for high-end retailers, such as Ann Taylor and Banana Republic. She has a very determined personality and approaches her goals with great drive. Her eye for style and creative writing ability has given PLAYGROUND Magazine the edge to set it apart from other parenting publications. Having relocated to Florida to attend Florida State University and currently residing in Baldwin Park, Sabrina now calls Central Florida her home.
