Since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (yes – I consider it a holiday), I’m not sure why I had yet to visit Disney’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. I guess because I thought maybe it was a lot of money for just a few hours of park time. I was definitely wrong.
After attending this year’s special event, Disney’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is now one of my favorite Halloween activities to kick off the haunted season. Here’s my top 5 reasons why it’s now my favorite time to visit the Magic Kingdom:
1. The parade is better than any other I’ve seen at Disney. It’s full of haunted characters and special floats that you can only see during this special event. (The gravediggers dragging their shovels were my favorite!)
2. The longest we stood in line was ten minutes for a ride. Sure, you don’t get the whole day at the park, but you don’t need it since your wait time is cut down drastically.
3. It’s one more event where you get to dress up. And don’t think the adults don’t dress … they do!
4. They have a really cool DJ dance party in Tomorrowland that’s better than any other kid-friendly dance party I’ve experienced. The music was awesome and the stage and lighting were amazing. It was one of the highlights of our night.
5. There were more character meet-and-greet opportunities than I’ve ever seen before. Characters were everywhere. And again, a very short line, so we got to see them all.
If you’re a Halloween-lovin’ mama like me then this is definitely one of the best events you can attend to get into the spirit of the season.
