Primrose SchoolStill looking for the perfect preschool for your brainiac? Or wondering what you’ll do with Xavier after school this year? The educators at the new Primrose School of Oviedo invite you to take a sneak peak at what they’ve got to offer.

Every Thursday night this summer they’ll have an open house from 4 – 7 p.m. where you can tour the new (and oh, so fabulous) facility and get the scoop on their private accredited programs.

We checked the place out and wow; we wish we could spend our days there! They’ve got this big building; with three separate playgrounds (you know how we like our playgrounds). The edible garden is yummy and the toys are out of this world … seriously, the toys … they center on different educational themes, like math and science. Super fab.

Primrose School of Oviedo offers programs for infants through Pre-K and also offers before- and after-school care for school-aged children. If you had your heart set on VPK next year, you’re in luck because the school is now accepting VPK for the fall! Cha-ching!

Primrose Schools distinguishes itself by creating a safe and nurturing environment where children are happy and continually preparing for a bright tomorrow. Its unique accredited curriculum Balanced Learning, blends the two leading philosophies of teaching children. One of those philosophies endorses a child-initiated approach, in which children are free to explore their individual interest with teacher support. The other places a greater emphasis on teacher direction, where an established curriculum leads children along a consistent learning path. Through Balanced Learning, the school combines the best of both philosophies. Letting the particular interests of each child serve as a springboard to healthy social, emotional, physical and academic development, while teachers guide students toward self-assurance, preparing them for lifelong academic and social success.

Knowing that a preschool education is so much more than just learning numbers and letters, the school strives to infuse character development throughout the program, teaching and modeling concepts like friendship, generosity and honesty. Hand in hand, the teachers work together with you to help your children take their first steps toward a lifetime of achievement. School owner, Lina Parrott believes, that “early childhood education should take a balanced approach to preparing children for the future. It should support physical, social-emotional, creative and academic development so children can acquire not only math and reading skills, but compassion, strength, independence, resilience and love of learning – qualities that are easy to take for granted.”

The school is open Monday through Friday starting at 7 a.m. and says its final farewell every day at 6:30 p.m. Lina loves that each day it “is filled with laughter and learning, where children are growing into happy, confident, well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world.”

If you can’t make the open house, the people at Primrose would love to arrange a private tour for you. Just give them a call at 407-359-5200.
