Kids are expensive, but their stuff doesn’t have to be. One of the hottest trends in helping to stretch dollars when shopping for kids is consignment sales. Not only is it money savvy, but it’s totally green too. (Oh, and it gives you motivation to clean out your kids closets - not just a chore, a money maker.)

Whether you want to clean out, upgrade, or both at The Kids Sale you can do it all in just a few days. Set your own prices on those outgrown clothes, toys and equipment. You may just cash in earnings up to 75% of the selling price! You don’t just have to be the seller, go shopping in a room full of treasure and find upscale, name brand and designer items at bargain prices. For parents who really want to score, The Kids Sale recruits volunteers to help run the event in exchange for early access to the goods and for a higher percentage of their sales.

The Kids Sale is run by two Southwest Orlando moms who love to help other moms find quality new and gently-used kid’s items at a fraction of the original price. Kids often jump sizes so fast they don’t have a chance to wear all the wonderful things in their closets, so some of the items at the Kids Sale are even still new with tags.

Accepting a range of items from baby gear to junior size clothing, The Kids Sale has grown into a giant shopping event with hundreds of participants, buyers and vendors. And since it is organized like a retail store, complete with clothing racks, tables, displays and checkout cashiers, shoppers can find bargains without having to dig.

You’re in luck because the spring sale is coming March 3 - 5 at the JCC of Greater Orlando - South Campus, located on Apopka-Vineland Rd. In addition to all of the fab finds, vendors and sponsors will be on hand featuring family-friendly products. Everyone is welcome, parking is free, and there is never an admission charge. Goodie bags will be handed out to the first 100 customers through checkout each day. There will be a fun Kids Zone with a bounce house, concessions and hotdogs available on Saturday.

Sale times:                                                                                       

• Thursday, March 3 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
• Friday, March 4 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Saturday, March 5 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. (select items half price on the last day!)
