If you’re worried your trick or treaters will collect enough candy to feed an army, never fear, we have a solution for you that won’t rot their teeth or go straight to your hips. How about sending some of that sugary-sweetness to our troops stationed overseas? A number of local dentists have teamed up with Operation Gratitude for a Halloween candy buy-back program. These dentists will buy back your kid’s sweet things at $1 per pound and then send the candy to our troops in care packages for the holidays. We dig this way to help your kids learn to be charitable and it prevents mom and dad from eating all the leftovers.
The candy buy-back program will take place on Monday, November 1 at the following dentists’ offices in Central Florida. Each office sets its own program hours, so call before you head out. Visit www.halloweencandybuyback.com for more information about the program.
