Say Cheese! On Friday, the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Smiley Face, and you’re invited to be part of the attempt.
Why? Why Not? Plus it is World Smile Day (did you know) and the Orlando CVB hopes to use this event to raise awareness for the Smile Train, an organization that raises funds for cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries so that children can smile with confidence.
The 60-foot smiley face will include more than 1,000 smiling faces from around the globe, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in yellow or black shirts for 10 minutes. The smiley face will be formed on the rooftop of the Amway Center Parking Garage, next to Orlando’s new Amway Center, just prior to the center’s ribbon cutting ceremony.
If you want to be part of this smiling event, the giant face will be formed between 8 - 9 a.m., and participants are asked to please arrive by 7:45 a.m. Bring the kiddies, the more the merrier. Click here for more details.
