The kids are split on their favorite thing that we do together LOL. I love doing anything with them that they enjoy :) I think we all agreed on either sewing fabric yo-yo’s or heat embossing cards. My kids are ages 5, 7, 14, 16, 18, 18, 19, 19 and 22 :) Even my older ones still “play” with Mom!

My son is four years old & just starting to get into stickers.
I draw a theme appropriate picture & he sticks the stickers.
Example - If he has pirate stickers, I draw a ship, the ocean a small island, etc.
He gets to feel like he created the scene :O) & while he is busy working I can prep or cook dinner.

One of my favorite projects to do with my 3 yr old daughter, Kate is to take a large piece of construction paper but out a large square in center. Then I let Kate pick which piece she wants to paint. Then we paint and decorate our respective pieces with our backs to each other. Then when we’re done we put the ’square’ inside the ‘frame.’ She gets such a kick out of how different our paintings are!

Since I am a Doodler, my kids and I LOVE to sit and Doodle. We can draw anytime, anywhere as long as we have a sheet of paper and a drawing tool. I cant find the courage to get rid of ANY of their drawings, no matter how small and insignificant they may seem to others, to me they are all masterpieces. My kids are 20 months and 5 yrs old. Doodle on my friends, doodle on!

My little guy is only 17 months but I am the “craft mama” for our playgroup. We have made hats for the holidays & a bunny basket for our up coming egg hunt. For earth day we are decorating pottery & planting something in it! We love arts and crafts. Oh & he LOVES to paint! He says “Dip, dip” when he puts the brush in the paint. So cute!

My kid is 2.5 and will be 3 in June. She’s really into drawing trees and flowers and the ever-present circles all over the page. One recent project we did, was moved a mattress (we were rearranging bedrooms in anticipation of our upcoming adoption) into the living room and made it into a pirate ship. She decorate some cardboard boxes with piraty things (circles, trees and flowers of course) and then we used the “treasure chest” to put treasure in.

My daughter and I love to sew together….she helps me pick out fabric and patterns. Her favorite is “comfy pants” so I’ve been making lots of pull on pants with ruffles!
She is 3 but would LOVE the coloring backpack :)

My kids are 5 & 7 and they love to make all kinds of pictures with dauber markers. They look like those things that are used to mark bingo cards. They are scented, which is a bonus, and are great on huge pieces of art paper.

My 4 year old daughter and I love making balloon animals and face painting together. I’ll paint her face, hands, arms and sometimes the top of her feet and then we’ll switch and she’ll paint mine!

My daughter is 11 and is a complete original. She has a cool hairstyle and she loves to create with anything she can get her hands on, right now she’s found a walking stick, made a feather band to go around it, created a tribal picture language to cover it with. She also has a chalkboard wall in her room, we’ve bought her the chalk ink pens where she has created a map for her “Warriors” clan. My mom is a children’s librarian and inspiring children’s book author and illustrator and they spend tons of time creating and making up new craft recipes. My most treasured gifts have been at Christmas time when my mom and daughter have made me things - one was a handprint and poem and the other was my mom’s famous memory wallet that contains my daughters pictures from infant to toddler. http://craftylouise.blogspot.com/2010/01/memory-wallet-first-i-made-one-of-these.html

My children are pretty young (2 yrs old and 8 months) so art projects are fairly limited right now. My 2 yr old girl loves coloring. We recently purchased an oversized Tinker Bell coloring book that she loves. Another favorite thing for her to do is finger painting. My 8 month old son hasn’t really done much art work, but he loves playing with the paint brushes. I am sure he’ll be getting into more in the near future.

My favorite art activity is making Kool-aid playdough and with my girls. We get out all the cookie cutters and have hours of fun. The homemade playdough is the best because it smells yummy and is the softest best dough! You can google Kool-aid playdough to find many recipes.

My kids are 4 & 6. We love doing art projects. I think painting is their favorite. Anything that makes a mess and requires a smock equals for for them. We also tapped their creative talents and started our own t-shirt line with their drawings that we sell online and in local boutiques http://www.retsedesignsstore.com.

My little artsy monsters love making sock puppets and painting with just about anything they can dip. Every summer they throw on swimsuits and we roll out the paper to create body art. They also adore leaf and rock projects as much as I adore finding them in the bottom of my washer…I have to smile!

We blend up a batch of homemade, washable puffy paint, get out sheets of poster board and paint away using brushes and fingers. Once the painting is all done, we embed it with little craft jewels and leaves and flowers from the garden.
