Attention Disney fans. This summer, Main Street USA will light up and twinkle to a familiar tune when Walt Disney World revives the “Main Street Electrical Parade” at the Magic Kingdom as part of Disney’s “Summer Nightastic!” beginning in early June. In addition to familiar faces, the parade features Tinker Bell leading the parade and new energy-saving LED lights.
Other “Summer Nightastic!” elements throughout WDW will include the return of the “Sounds Like Summer” concert series at Epcot, a new drop sequence and special lighting effects in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction at Hollywood Studios, and extended evening hours several times a week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Disney’s special 2010 “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” is filling up fast. Already receiving more than 600,000 volunteer signups in its first six weeks, the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day program, which is aimed at inspiring people to perform volunteer projects, caps out at 1 million volunteers. So if you have been thinking about volunteering a day of your time to receive a free one-day admission to Disney, stop thinking and sign up on Disney’s website.
