When was the last time you used a traditional phonebook? Can’t remember? We can’t either. With today’s amazing technology, letting “your fingers do the walking” has moved from paper pages to the digital world.
Even if you can’t remember the last time you used a traditional phonebook, I bet they are still regularly being delivered to your door. If you’re like most of us, those books either become dust collectors, go straight into the recycle bin, or (gasp) you throw them in the trash.
Did you know you can put the kibosh on getting those books? Yep, you can opt-out of receiving the phonebook for good. How’s that for going green?
To opt-out online, go to www.yellowpagesgoesgreen.org and fill out a simple form.
To opt-out by phone (in case you don’t want to give out your address) go to www.yellowpagesoptout.com and enter your zip code. Then you can call each of the publishers in your area to request to be removed from their distribution list.
You can do this for your home and your business, so what are you waiting for? Get off the list before another issue is published!
No worries. If you ever want to go back to traditional phone books, you can always order one. But, since you can Google numbers on your phone, why bother?
