There is something really special about Windermere Union Church Preschool. A great, small preschool with small classes, and great facility and location, and the most caring teachers you’ll find anywhere. We absolutely loved it there.

Windermere Union Church Preschool was recommended to me by a friend. I called this preschool along with several others that I had heard good things about. However, WUCP was the school my son attended. The dictor answered my call. She was friendly and informative. She asked if I would like to visit the school. None of the other schools offered that to me. Right away I was at ease. She understood my concerns about having my child start school and made my transistion to this stage in my child’s life easier. I am a big believer that you get a good impression of how a business/school is run by the perosn that answers the phone.

My son first started with the 2 day program at age 3 then went on to the 3 day program at age 4. He was ready for Kindergarten when he left WUCP. He learned all the skills he needed to be a success from his teachers at WUCP. This was the BEST choice that my husband and I could have made for our child to start school. The teachers are so dedicated to each child. They care for them as though they are their own. The director is organized and runs the school very well. Now that my son is in public school, the one thing I miss is the great line of communication between the school and the parents at WUCP. I was never left guessing or in the dark about ANYTHING. The school also encourages parent participation in whatever level you are comfortable with. You can sign up to be on the board, volunteer in the classroom or assist in field trips. When my son left WUCP I was a little sad for I loved this school enviornment for him and he loved being there. He woke up each morning telling me it was time for school! He was excited to be there and since it was such a good expierence for him he is now just as excited and doing well in the public school system. He is now in 1st grade but he has never forgotten WUCP or his teachers there. We try to visit when we can. We make the effort because we felt such a friendship with the staff and made friends with the other families we met through the school. I would highly encourage anyone with a preschool age child to call WUCP and set up a date to interview the school. It is one of the best choices I made for my child and for our family.

We selected Windermere Union Church Preschool for my older child, now in Kindergarten, because it came so highly recommended. For a year before he started preschool, I would ask everyone I ran into what preschool they recommended and why. Over and over again Windermere Union was the preschool they would talk about. I even had one mom tell me that, “WUCP is the best preschool in the state.” Wow! Every family I met who had a child attend the school developed a great bond with the school, teachers and staff. My family and I now feel the same way. Now my youngest is a member of the WUCP family!

On my son’s first Kindergarten report card, the teacher made about four comments. One being that he was well prepared for Kindergarten. Kudos to the teachers and staff at WUCP for ensuring that all of their students are well prepared for this next phase in their education!

We began looking for a preschool for our son at age 2 because we were expecting our second child and wanted to ease him into a school environment prior to her arrival. We asked around to people in the neighborhood, work and playgroups and the answer always came back that Windermere Union was the best. Having never been away from me, I was obviously concerned about his transition to school. Once I met the teachers, director and toured the facility, all of my worries vanished. The staff truly cares for my son as if he were their own. They not only teach the students what they need to succeed in school, but in life. Core values of honesty, patience, friendship, manners, etc. are all taught in a loving, warm environment.

Perhaps the greatest feedback that I can pass on to anyone is from my own child. He LOVES school and begs to go on the days that he isn’t scheduled. He cried at Christmas vacation because he missed school so much. He is making great friends and memories. Most of all he is developing the skills that will give him the ability to succeed later on.

I am completely thrilled with my decision and will continue to send both of my children to this incredible school! It has enriched the lives of our entire family.
